Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3. Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Renton, WA. Beautiful Peanut had an angel looking out for her. She was wandering the streets of Beijing China as a stray and a lovely dedicated sweet lady rescued Peanut & got her well & healthy but could not keep her so she paid for her to stay in a boarding yard until she could get her help. Look at this adorable face, Peanut could not be any sweeter. Hey foster mum said she is nothing but pure love. She did work out though that Peanut is fearful of men so we can only imagine a man was cruel to her in China so it's mandatory her new home there be a female presence & if there is a man in the home be patient with her. This little lady is a picky eater & her foster mum cooks for her because of the way she ate in China. She adds kibble to her food but little Miss will not eat the kibble & eats around it. Peanut is such a sweet full of love & life little lady who is so very sweet & cuddly & just wants to be loved. This little lady is looking to put her horrid past behind her & be cherished & loved as she should be. Peanut also walks beautifully on a harness & leash.Having a warm bed, her own toys & family will be all new to Peanut so we are so excited to find her a loving home. Peanut has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently in a foster home with dogs & enjoys dogs company. A home with another dog present in the home would be best for Peanut or a home where she can be with her people all day. Peanut is roughly 14.8 lbs, 12 months old, female & maybe a Tibetan Spaniel/Cavalier mix, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her shots, dewormed & heart worm negative. Peanut has been around cats since being in the rescue in the foster family & does fine but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children but it's always up to the family to be responsible with their children before adopting one of our rescues. We do not know for sure what breed Peanut is mixed with & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Peanut's friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Peanut potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Peanut & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Peanut has an adoption fee of $785
