About Pepper

Meet Pepper!! Her nicknames include Pepperoni and Pepperoncini (lovingly given by our kiddos). Pepper is a one year old (September 11) purebred black lab. As with all labs, Pepper LOVES the outdoors; playing fetch and swimming down at the river are her two favorite things. She's a very loving girl who enjoys car rides and hanging out with her humans (of all sizes). Due to the fact that Pepper is a lab puppy, I would not suggest adopting her if you have small children. It's a normal occurrence in our home for Pepper to knock down and run over our 4 year old. Don't get me wrong, she loves children, she's just a happy puppy who doesn't understand her size! Pepper is potty trained and kennel trained. She knows sit, kennel, load up, and is off and on with down. She also loves to go on walks. She does pull a bit every now and then, but with some minor corrections, she stops and walks very well. As with all puppies (and in particular, lab pups), Pepper is a chewer. She LOVES toys, antlers, tennis balls and will find her way into anything you don't want her chewing IF you do not give her items of her own. This is something that should be understood by ANYONE looking to adopt a PUPPY. Pepper being adopted out is due to NO FAULT OF HER OWN. I need to make it very clear that we love her dearly and the choice to rehome her is not easy at all and has been very difficult on our family. I understand that I will most likely receive backlash, but I feel that what we are doing for Pepper is best for her and it is BECAUSE WE LOVE HER we are willing to wait however long it takes to ensure a good fit in her new home.
