About Max

We are looking for a home for our dog, Max. Max came to us about 8 months ago and has been living with our family, including our 6 and 8 year old kids. He has been the most loving dog in the time we have had him, quickly growing close to our kids. He LOVES them and they LOVE him. Unfortunately, last week he showed us he is very protective of the kids. They had a friend over for the first time for a play date and although the kids were all very excited, he was very skittish around the friend. While they were showing him attention, he growled at the little girl and then bit her - luckily it wasn't a severe bite and the little girl was fine, however given that we have friends over frequently (some who are used to dogs and some who aren't), we feel like we need to find Max another, loving home. Making these decisions as parents can be so hard, considering how much our family all loves Max. Although we don't want to see him go, we do want to ensure he finds the best home possible! �%A0 So why should you want Max? 1-He is 14 months old and is an absolutely beautiful puppy; he is also house broken! 2-He is a smart dog - he knows standard commands (sit, stay, down, shake, rollover, wait, drop it), but has potential to learn more 3-He is great on a leash and loves taking walks and fetching in the yard 4-Luckily, he is out of the puppy chewing phase! Although he loves chewing his toys, so we have to replenish those from time to time ���S 5-He is up to date on shots, has a micro-chip, and is neutered 6-He is crate-trained (we put him in the crate while we are out of the house �'�| he often lays in the crate even when we are home) 7-He has been great in social settings - walking at a park, going to Home Depot, or eating on a patio 8-Most importantly, he greets you when you come home with excitement, will cuddle with you while you are catching up on Netflix shows at night, and has the best puppy dog eyes of any puppy we have known �%A0 If you are interested in taking Max, please let us know - we will bring him to you, along with all of his belongings (crate, container of food, toys, blanket, beds, collar, etc).
