About Kuma, Adopted

Boxer
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

'My name is Kuma and my foster parents call me a gentle giant (that might be because I weigh 93 lbs and I am a very tall boxer). They picked me up from a scary place called a shelter which I did not like at all. Some nice lady found me wandering the streets and took me there. I don't look or act like a street dog so my foster parents don't think I was wandering for very long and I was only at the shelter for four days but that was plenty for me. It took a couple of days for me to decompress and know that I was safe again, but once I realized I was safe I was good to go and my boxer wiggle came back to life!! My foster parents tell everyone that will listen that it is crazy how well I'm aware of my size and how gentle and careful I am when trying to get loving or playing. I am friendly with my four fur brothers and sister (even the tiny grumpy one and the way too energetic one), and my little human fosters (even the little guy). New people can be scary and I get sort of hesitant but I'm quick to get over that with some reassurance and loving. I have not met any cats yet but given my easy going nature my foster parents don't think it will be an issue. Although I don't mind my foster fur siblings my preference is to be with my humans and to just hang out so I'd be happiest in a home where I'm not alone for really long periods of time or that's chaotic all the time as I get a bit anxious and need reassurance. I'm not huge into toys or playing (although I can pull some major boxer zoomies when I want). I'm a cuddle bug and lover. So I would do best with a peaceful fur sister or brother who won't drive me crazy and want to play non stop all the time. My foster mom says I'm the best Netflix partner she has ever met. That said, I have a pretty loud bark and am very concerned about noises and my surroundings so an apartment would not be the best place for me without training. I know sit, stay, lay, and come very well. I am gentle on a leash. I am house trained and will go to the door when I need out. I do not really like my crate but will go in if you insist and know better than to have any accidents while I'm in there. Overall my foster parents can't say enough about me and my manners. I am still working on being anxious when I can't see my foster people, but with a lot of loving I think you will find that I am a true gentleman for sure!'
