About Tessa, Adopted

'Tessa really is the perfect dog! She is perfectly crate trained and house trained with a doggie door. She will not chew anything other than a bone. She ignores shoes and other things left on the floor. Tessa is an excellent guard dog. She will only bark once if alerted to something but as soon as she knows it's not a threat she calms right down. She's one of the smartest dogs I've ever met. The very few times we've had to correct her she has learned and that behavior is no longer a problem. Tessa absolutely loves my 4 yr old son. She enjoys his attention even though he is loud and unpredictable. She is very patient and never seems annoyed. She is loving but not overly goofy. Tessa is very laid back. She takes direction easily, is never stubborn and is gentle and patient even when she doesn't feel good. She will only jump when she's playing. She's perfect, right! Unfortunately, She does have heartworms. However, we'll get those things taken care of and she'll be ready for a home that's as wonderful as she is!
