About Dory

Just keep swimming! That's our sweet girls motto. Meet Dory! Dory is a 2 year old female lab mix who weighs around 30 lbs. Dory has had a rough time prior to rescue and is ready for her forever home. While she may not be the most eye catching, she makes up for it the first time you get a tail wag or one of her famous smiles. She was cleared of mange several months ago and is now growing back her silky white and golden coat. Dory is a calm soul and will need a calm, patient environment. Given that time, her confidence and personality shines through! She is house and crate trained but is happiest snuggled on the couch or bed. Dory is good with other dogs, and would benefit with a confident dog to lead the way; though cats are currently unknown. She is spayed, current with vaccines, and fostered in Harrisburg, PA We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
