About Finn in Kansas City

Jack Russell
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

**Courtesy Post** Finn is a darling 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier. Before children I used to be a volunteer foster home for JRTs. I have had at least one for almost 25 years. I have a neutered male that has some anxiety issues. Finn can get along with other dogs - he lives with two others, but he is very territorial. He will guard food and toys. He would be best with an experienced owner. Maybe not with other dogs unless you believe it is a good fit. He does play with my other dog, tug a war or just rough housing. He does give up on the tug a war with the other dog so there is potential. Sometimes he gets too territorial so I break them up and redirect his attention. He needs lots of work in that area and may be happier as an only dog. He is so cool! He has an amazing personality and wants to play all the time. He loves to snuggle and get under the covers. We have teenagers which he loves, but he does not like small children. So...no kids under 14 years of age! I really want someone who has had previous experience with JRTs and have enough time to dedicate exercise time to him. He loves walks. I do not let him interact with other dogs on a leash just because I do not know what will happen. I'm sure with some training it would be something he could handle. Finn is also crate trained. He will whine for a few minutes then he is okay. He goes to his crate on command. He also does well being left out of his crate. Finn needs a securely fenced back yard to play in. He cannot be adopted unless I can do a home visit and you have a good vet reference. His adopter must be willing to drive to the Kansas City, Missouri area to get him. His adoption fee is $200. Please fill out the online adoption application at www.russellrescue.com if you are interested in this handsome boy! Contact: [email protected]
