Samantha is approx. 14 mo old 50 lb female Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever/Golden Retriever mix. She has the personality/temperament of a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and can literally catch birds in the air! She does NOT have the personality of a typical Golden Retriever. She likes other highly energetic dogs her size to play with, however, can be dog selective. Hence, best she gets adopted now as an only dog. Then you can eventually have meet /greets with another dog to bring into your home if you wish. She is affectionate and a smart very active companion for someone that is very active and has alpha Retriever experience. Who knows?...she might be able to be trained to go duck hunting? We do not know, but that is what Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers were bred for. She is very energetic and loves her humans. She loves to catch birds and go swimming. She is crate trained. She will require daily walks/hikes and plenty of mental and physical exercise and continued leash training. Requires a house with a secure fenced yard. Will do best in active home without any other dogs at this time. No cats! No small dogs! No apartments! No children under 12 years of age! All adopted pups and dogs are transported to WA/OR families when fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
