Hi, my name is LEO - ID#A4287493. I am a neutered male, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 6 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jul 14, 2019. This sweet man arrived in July with with his friend Zoe. They both had their names sewn into their collars; we had all hoped that their family would arrive to take them home, but they did not. Whatever the reason, they are both still with us today. I had the absolute pleasure yesterday to spend some one on one time with Leo. He's a mature, calm, polite, grateful boy who wants nothing more than to be part of a loving family again. Leo joined me as I ran a few errands. He happily hopped in the car and quickly got comfortable. He enjoyed the cool AC, quiet of the car ride, his two burgers, and my company. Leo is such a wonderful companion. He's the perfect age, he appreciates good conversation, has the perfect energy, makes you feel as though you are the best friend in the world while not crowding your space. But Leo's heart is missing something. He knows that he doesn't belong at the shelter. Can someone please make a difference for this special boy who will make such a difference in the lives of the family who makes the choice to bring him into their heart and home?
