Me and my family are in need of help. About 3 and a half years ago we rescued a scared 2 year old dog, Lana, from a bad rescue. She has been with us every step of the way since. She has always has some issues with aggression, but we were able to manage and train her through them, since 99% of the time she is the sweetest, most loving dog you could ask for. She loves to exercise, and would go with my for a run or walk almost every day. However, when she would end up with high energy, or I would travel a lot, she would at times have issues. Me and my wife had brought a second dog into the family, and Lana has learned to love her as well. However, with some of the best news in our life came some of the saddest. My wife and I are about 7 weeks pregnant, and Lana has not taken it well. The aggression and nipping that would come at times, is now focused on my wife. This had let to a bad biting incident. We have spoken to a Vet and a behaviorist, and they both feel, that it would not be safe to raise a child with our dog in the house. They both recommended euthanasia. This dog has been my life. Even the thought of surrendering her brings me to tears every time. However with her history, I am having a very hard time rehoming or surrendering her.
