About Arctic

Lab / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

There are many, many Labrador Retriever and Cattle Dog lovers in the dog world...they're considered to be two of the most desirable breeds available today. This is due to their consistently engaging temperaments, the beauty of their stunning coats, their love of their people and overall super-intelligence. There's also no question that they're strikingly beautiful with their cottony-soft coats and very expressive dark eyes. Arctic has a stunning coat, that with care, great nutrition (a daily salmon oil supplement is recommended for longevity and coat care) and far less stress by being part of a loving home..Arctic will emerge with a gorgeous and soft as cotton coat that speaks of her breed mix. Arctic is 10 months old and weighs about 35 lbs (anticipated to be about 38 - 40 lbs when full grown). This is such a perfect age and size. Arctic is old enough to have left her babyish behaviors behind and young enough to have many, many active and healthy years ahead. We feel that Arctic's forever family should have the motivation to continue her socialization. She's a very social pup who with guidance will be able to accompany her family everywhere a well-behaved dog is welcome. Arctic is a perfect candidate for positive reinforcement group obedience training classes. Through these clear boundaries and leadership by her humans, Arctic will emerge as a well-adjusted and very bonded companion. She's so beautiful both inside and out and deserves a family that appreciates her gifts and is willing to show her boundaries through love and time spent. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of positive reinforcement/force free trainers in your area. We're searching for a very active and dog-crazy family for Arctic...either active retirees or families with older, very gentle kids would speak to Arctic's love of being together with her people engaging in fun activities. Another fun doggie playmate and a fenced yard would be perfect for Arctic. She (like all dogs) is happier and therefore more well-behaved if she's given enough exercise and mental stimulation... followed by some serious snuggling with her favorite people. It would be a family who is retired or works from home, part-time or chooses to take a sweet pup with them to a dog-friendly workplace that would provide an excellent forever home for Arctic. She would enjoy the time spent together and would blossom with a family that considers their dog a very valued member of their family. We've requested that Arctic be spayed prior to her transport to Denver. We're not optimistic that this will occur due to too many dogs and not enough vets in this industrial area of New Mexico. In fulfilling our commitment to zero population growth, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for her spay and microchip if one of our Colorado rescue vets is used. Arctic is enjoying her time in a foster home in Boulder. Adoption applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet, super-smart and cuddly best friend. An app can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Arctic, please be sure to fill out our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving pup. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit a Farfel's adoption application. It can be found at farfels.com. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
