About BRUNO-2 - $300

Adoption Fee: $300
German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

BRUNO-2 was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved and transported to the rescue in Sebec, Maine. BRUNO-2 is neutered, core vaccines, rabies, heartworm and tick-disease tested negative, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 29 August 2016 and at the time of rescue in the end of August 2019, weighed around 70.00 pounds. The shelter has a breed listing of German Shepherd Dog. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely. BRUNO-2 arrived at the rescue on Thursday,12th September and settled in great. For the first few weeks he was in his own kennel, but as more space was opened up, we was able to put him in a double kennel with Gyspy and he is much happier. He loves to run and play and wrestle and get up to mischief. He is very responsive, although doesn't like to come in from playtime, but can't blame him for that. He is very responsive, very alert, but relaxes and chills out in the kennel when he is not playing with Gypsy. Bruno-2 needs an active family who goes on walks and adventures, he is a big boy and so a lifestyle to accommodate that is needed. He needs mental stimulation as much as the physical exercise and along with training, teaching tricks and using interactive games are excellent ways to keep him mentally stimulated. He is a gentle boy and would make a great family pet, I have not seen him around small children, but as long as the child/ren are respectful to him I believe he would be a very loving, fun, companion, friend, big brother to them. However, as with all dogs, supervision at all times should be taken seriously. Bruno has not been around cats or livestock whilst here at the rescue so we cannot comment on how he would act around them. BRUNO-2 is available for adoption for an adoption fee of US $400. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada.
