Name: Pocahontas Nickname: Pokey Sex: Female Age: 11 months Weight: A solid 43# Breed: Lab mix Before Pack9: Turned into an AL shelter with evidence of having already had a litter of puppies at her young age. Energy Level: Medium. Happy to zoom and chew bones. Happy to nap. Extrovert or Introvert: Extrovert. Loves to be where the pack is, and be greeter at the door. Her Great Loves: Playing. Snuggles. Car rides. And treats! Dream Profession: Taste tester! Things we love most: Her looks -- she has the unique bi colored eyes and flecks of brown in her white fur. Her personality -- she is so eager to please. What makes us laugh: When she gets really excited she hops around like a bunny. What makes her tick: Praise and love. Dogs: Great! Would love if her new canine siblings are just as playful as herself! And tolerant of sharing toys. Cats: There have been no issues. She will bark and bow to entice play and then move on if the cat becomes uninterested. Kids: For sure! More ways to cuddle, play and get all the love! Biggest Weakness: loose leash walking. While in foster care we are continuing to correct and teach her. Crate trained: Yes! She has been trusted to have free reign for short periods of time. Housebroken: Yep! Pocahontas is up to date on all vaccines, spayed, heartworm negative and is microchipped. She is also currently fostered in Carlisle PA. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
