About Ginger

Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

January 2019... 11 months ago... That is how long Ginger has been safe within a foster (Split between AL and PA). That is also how long she has been waiting for her forever family. Unfortunately, the rescue that saved her in January had to treat her through severe mange. Once cleared of this, 8 months later, she had been in the rescue for so long that no one was interested. They contacted us to bring her to PA for her future forever family. Fast forward to September 2019... 3 months ago.. Ginger arrived in PA where she has been waiting ever since. Now is the time for her to find her happy-ever-after. Ginger's wish for Santa is a family and a house to call her own. Ginger is a 2 year old, 48 lb Lab/Shepherd mix. Ginger has experience with dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments- she has a wonderful ability to acclimate to their needs. She also has experience with kids of all ages and does great (minus a little excitement jumping). When tested with cats, Ginger was not interested in them and will stay clear once they swat! She is hoping for lots of toys in her stocking this year and she promises she has no favorites! Ginger is house and crate trained (another plus!). She is spayed, current with vaccines, heartworm negative, and fostered in Harrisburg, PA. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all volunteer organization and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
