About Piglet

Adoption Fee: $150
American Bulldog
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] I have Piglett up for adoption. I am very saddened to have to do this. This dog is so sweet and loving. She currently lives with my Fiance, two daughters, our 7 month old Female French Bulldog and 11 year old Male Staffordshire Terrior. She absolutely loves to follow them both around and play with them. She loves to run around for an hour and sleep for two. She have no problem falling asleep right in your arms or cuddle up on a blanket or one of her dog beds. We have had her for a little over a month and she is a pure bred American Bulldog. Her temperament is great her parents were extremely friendly and well mannered. I really am sad to have to do this, but with other dogs and children I have too many expenses to try to help this little girl or give her what she needs. She really needs constant potty breaks. She started with a UTI at two months old that we were able to clear with antibiotics. She was frequently urinating and It smelled strong so she was tested and treated and then tested again and all clear, but the consistent urination continued. We have since had more tests done and they have ruled out any illness or infections. The vet said there could be possibilities of an incompetent sphincter or possibly a ectopic ureter. The vet recommended putting her on a drug called prion which is only about $30 a month. She has just started this and we have noticed she seems to be able to hold a little more in but still is urinating often. Unfortunately with school and two full time jobs there is not enough time to give this girl the amount of potty breaks she needs. Someone who is home more often and can really work with her on going outside often possible with a doggy door would be ideal. There are ultrasound tests that can be done to determine exactly if she has the issue and surgeries that can be performed to fix the issue but unfortunately I do not have the funds for what could be required. Our Vet suggested trying the meds for a few months and be very strict serious with the potty training and thinks there is a possibility that with the meds and strict training even if she does have an issue if she has constant access to a dog door even though she may go pee a lot as long as it is outside it may be manageable. My hopes are to find someone who could possibly give this girl a better shot than I can. I was not expecting this at all and am saddened. She is such a great dog. I can not say it enough. She is so well tempered. She is going to make a great dog in the right situation. She loves bigger dogs and runs around with little dogs. She is currently around 22 pounds. Her mom was around 90-100lbs and her dad was around 110lbs and as stated great dogs. I met them a few different times after picking her out and visiting her a few times when she was still young. I am looking for someone serious to take her and willing to put in some time. There is still a chance with medications and some hard work she may not even need a surgery. Please feel free to call and leave a message or text me. Thank you. I do have many pictures but not on my work computer. I will post them tomorrow.
