About Beebs

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Beebs is Male Smooth Coated Border Collie that is about a year old, ~40lbs. This guy is textbook Border Collie both in looks, intelligence, and activity. He's relaxed and chill in the house as long as he's had physical and mental stimulation, without both he gets bored and depressed. He will need to be a part of an active family. He loves playing wrestle, tug-o-war, chase with our dog, fetch or training with us and our kids. He is a L-O-V-E-R but takes a a while to get to know people and a situation. At the adoption center or even in a home he may not come across as very affectionate at first. You may be able to physically see him thoughtfully consider everything around him before reacting. Once he is comfortable and understands you will get to see his full personality. He is potty trained, crate trained (although I don't think he needs it, he does like having his space to chill), basic commands, needs more work with leash training. He needs a family with a yard, preferably another animal. Plays best with big-medium sized dogs, but will play with small dogs that don't mind rough-housing and are feisty. I am unsure on his take on cats, he's very interested, but hasn't been in same room with one. I have no clue why he was named Beebs except that only Justin Bieber (The Beebs) rivals him in his good looks and GORGEOUS hair. Seriously this dog has the most luscious, soft locks ever...amazingly he doesn't seem to shed much. He adores getting brushed at night before bed just be sure you have enough time for his belly! PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
