About Casper

UTD on all vaccines until 2/2021. Vet visit 2/2020 showed mild arthritis in his knees and should loose 2-3 pounds. No sign of dental disease, just mild staining on his teeth. Sweet boy, well behaved and very smart, housebroken 100%, tries very hard to please. Brief history as I have been told, rescued from high kill shelter in CA, to a rescue here, adopted then landed at Kitsap Humane Society, then rescued by a family who had 5 year old child, (they got along great) but they had change in living circumstances so I rescued 12/2016, he was 2-3 then. years old then. He has double dew claws and needs monthly trim by someone trained. He is not a big fan of baths but once he trusts you, it's all good. He loves to play so having a grade school kid would be perfect. He has a gentle mouth and could probably carry an egg. He will give chase to anything that comes into your yard, cats, squirrels, opossum etc. He loves sleeping near your feet covered with a fluffy blanket. He did fine with my 2 year old granddaughter but itheir interactions were supervised 100% of the time. Best suited for an active family where he will be included Loves riding in the car and walks. Somewhere along the way he has clearly been abused and can have a bit of an attitude, he is a pro at giving the stink eye. But he works hard to please. My other two dogs are older and getting tired, Casper has a long life ahead of him and needs more activities than I can provide. I rescued him as he needed immediate placement with intent of finding him something better and now it's time. Fenced yard is required.
