About Blaine

'Howdy! My name is Blaine and I'm looking to find my forever home. I'm a very sweet, older gentleman and I know that I could fill that hole in your heart (or that empty seat on the sofa!) I was brought to SVASC after a Good Samaritan found myself and my buddy, Clarabelle, running down a very busy highway. Thankfully, she scooped us up and brought us to the shelter, so now I'm ready to find myself a family! I'm about 8 years old, but don't let that scare you. That just means that I've learned to appreciate the finer things in life, like snuggling with my person and chicken nuggets. I'm a very laidback and mellow boy. My ideal day really just consists of a good nap. I'm pretty easygoing and get along with most everyone. I love other dogs, as long as they're medium to large sized (sorry, no small dogs) and I adore kids! I'm very gentle and well mannered, so I think I would do just fine in a home with children. I would like a home without cats or other small animals please. You may notice that I have some lumps and bumps. SVASC and their vet believe that these are pressure sores that developed from lying on hard ground for many years. They are purely a cosmetic flaw. I'm hoping that you might be able to overlook them and see what a good boy I am. My adoption fee is $125 to an approved adopter.'
