About Snickers

Snickers is a 9lb, 12 year old Chihuahua/Mini Pincher mix- He's been with me since he was a puppy. A great companion to have in your lap all the time and cuddle under the covers. As with most older small dogs he's not very good with young children. He would be best suited for a home with a single person or an older couple who could give him lots of love and affection for the rest of his years. Unfortunately after getting married he's had a difficult time with the kids and he needs a new home to get all the love he truly deserves. He's quite the little buddy and seems to understand emotions and is very endearing. He has some quirks, a parrot beak that causes dental tarter and stinky breath, he has a benign cyst on his rear but it does not impede his ability to move in anyway, he has a heart murmur as well. Despite all these things he lives as a happy dog. Nutrition is important to help stiff joints and keep his weight down. He's a great alarm dog as his hearing is still quite good. He is housebroken but it's important to be on a routine to make sure he goes outside- especially when it's cold out. He would be ok with other smaller dogs or cats- depending on their personality connections. He's been around both.
