About Bama

This smiling, happy girl is Bama! Bama is a lab/golden mix, two years old, crate trained (she does NOT have accidents ever), spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines. She was found tied to a park bench, abandoned in a campground in Alabama, hence the name! You would never know someone broke her heart - she is SO happy to have been rescued and she loves life! Like most labs, Bama has a sweet and loving disposition. She loves EVERYONE - dogs, kids, adults, and she is even non-reactive to cats. Bama is a super high-energy dog (she is a cross between two working breeds after all), so she needs a family with a fenced yard to help her play and use up all that lovely lab energy. While Bama likes children, due to her youth and energy level, she should only be placed in a home with older children, as she is still learning not to jump when excited. Once she has had some play time in the yard, Bama is good on leash, too! She is an expert at retrieving and will bring back the ball every time, though her favorite game is making you beg for the ball when she brings it back!
