The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be house and leash trained. Most have never lived in house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion Hi! My name is Susie and I am a Short Hair Pointer + who was born 10/31/18 and I weigh 30 pounds. I lived with lots of other dogs and then one day, the people who fed us moved away and left us. We were so scared! After several days, some nice folks came and got all of us and now we are safe and getting lots of yummy food and we are warm and loved. I need a full-time parent and a quiet home with very patient folks who will teach me all about love and how to trust. A sibling to play with and teach me the ropes would be ideal!
