About Ashes

Hello there! I'm Ashes, a handsome, playful, shy but affectionate black DSH/ Bombay mix fella who was born in April 2019. I have a sleek shiny patent-leather coat and big copper-penny eyes. I love to romp and roll with my siblings, and when I'm all tuckered out, I'll curl up in my foster mom's lap for a nap. Bombay mixes are often called Velcro cats because we love to stick close to our humans. I'm one of five (along with Amber, Coco, Ginny, and Oscar) who were born to our mom Katya (check out her bio too!). Perhaps you'd consider adopting a pair of us? We'd make a lively addition to your home. Two is more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation. I've grown up around the resident dog, but I wouldn't say we're pals . . . I just tolerate him. I hope you'll arrange to meet me today so that I can curl up in YOUR lap for a much-needed nap after my kittenish antics with my siblings. Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' However, many people who have had a black or Bombay mix cat before end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. Ashes is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted.
