About Etta and Charlic

My family rescued Etta (gray tabby) and her sister Charlic (black and white) from an overloaded shelter three years ago when they were five weeks old. My husband is not a cat person and while my daughter and I believed that would improve, it hasn't. Both girls are very sweet and well behaved cats. Etta loves to cuddle and sneaks into the bed often. Charlic is a bit more to herself but loves a long petting session here and there. We love them, but more and more I noticed how on edge they are here. They can't relax because either my husband is shooing them away or our dog is trying to play with them. They do well with all people. They are uninterested in dogs at best. They are indoors and have only ever seen each other as far as other cats so I don't know that they'd mesh well with other cats. They have no health or behavioral issues. I'd love them a home together with cat people where they could relax and be loved by all family members.
