About Peaches (west)

Hi, my name is PEACHES - ID#A4299298. I am a female, tan American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and I weigh about 38 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 1 year old, and I have been at the shelter since Aug 13, 2019. Peaches is very scared at the shelter. She is very shy and sweet, and obviously likes people. She will approach humans for treats, and will seek attention and petting. Peaches most likely as lived on the street all her life, as she is unaccustomed to a leash. You can put the leash on her with no problem, and she will drag it around, but trying to get her to walk with you on the leash is just not happening yet. She gets 'Ubered' to the play yard for exercise right now. Her dog evaluation has not been done yet, so we don't know how she will act around other dogs. If you already have a dog, please bring it in for a meet and greet before deciding to take Peaches home with you. Peaches is going to need a quiet and calm environment in order to learn the necessary social skills of living in a home. We recommend no small children yet.
