About Faith

Adoption Fee: $275
Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hi Everyone!! My name is Faith.... I have lots of Faith that food will come my way soon. I am a female Husky (ok I don't think anyone needs either one of those facts pointed out since they are pretty self explanatory). I am a younger gal around 2 now. I am food and treat motivated....highly...very, very highly motivated by food. any kind of food. As long as it ends up in my mouth and in my stomach I'm not picky. Most of the time I don't even taste it anyhow. I am quite a handful (my foster mom told me to tell you that). I don't think I am, but she said I am (don't listen to her she's crazy). I came here with some pretty bad habits that Ive overcome many of them. One of the big hurdles was food and basically everything that touched my mouth or had the potential to enter my mouth was mine...... which made EVERYTHING mine. I owned everything no one else had anything. I made sure of that. I wasn't too nice about it either. I learned however, nothing is mine until my foster mom allows me to have it. If she doesn't want me to have it and I take it anyhow (I do this a lot with stuff especially when I am passing by something that strikes my fancy I will quickly grab it fast as lightening) then my foster mom has to remove it from my mouth and tell me it is hers not mine.... I look at her and stick out my tongue. That's just how I am. I am a talker. I will talk and talk and talk and never shut up. even when you don't want to hear anymore, I will STILL tell you about things. Like for example, how displeased I am that that treat is not in it's rightful place in my mouth. I love to go for walks but I do initially pull. I know the following commands, sit, stay, down, off (I LOVE to jump on people....don't turn your back on me either, cause Ill just jump up on you with your back turned how dare you ignore me!)shake, leave it (that's a hard one for me!!) and 'wait' for food (by far the worst command ever invented in my opinion) I love care rides and do well in cars. except if you try to get out of the vehicle without me....plan on taking me with you because even if you don't want to, I WILL muscle my way out of the car and come with you like it or not. I do well with other medium to large dogs both male and female. I do like to be boss however. But, ABSOLUTELY NO small dogs OR CATS!! I've been tested with them and I have a very high prey it's a NO GO. I'm also Updated on all that medical mumbo jumbo stuff. Spayed, updated on vaccinated heartworm negative, treated for internal parasites, fleas ticks , heeartworm prevention, and the Microchip....that government conspiracy that chatter has been going on with us foster dogs about.... Bear, one foster thinks they are mind control inserted by the government , Boogie thinks its a tracking device implanted by the government and Athena who doesn't care about any of it she only wants on the other hand....I think I'm chipped but I may have ate it...In that case I pulled a fast one on the government since the chip will be stationary pretty quick here after all those treats I just ate! So, If you have not only experience with huskies, but can devote yourself to a LOT of time to working on continued training, follow through with exactly what my foster mom says about the training she has started with me so I do not regress, take me to a professional trainer in your area, and give me a JOB to do then I may be the right dog for you. Young kids probably wouldn't be best in my life at this point for safely sake with how I was with food when I arrived and pretty much all things that belonged to me (or so I thought) It's hard for a young child to be the leader over me and not to touch my food etc. It's a tall order to adopt me I know, however, in the long run it will be worth it for us both! If you would like to ask questions you can PM the rescue on Facebook or you can email them at You also can go to to fill out the meet and greet application. Love, Faith
