About Milo

Milo is a very handsome 2.5 year old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix looking for a new home. He has had a loving owner for almost his whole life, but that situation is no longer working for either Milo or his owner due to the owner's currently living situation. Although Milo is super loving and loves his people dearly, he has trouble when meeting new people and becomes very unsure. In the past he has bitten 2 people, although no skin was broken. He knows all of his obedience commands, some tricks, has participated in scent work and herding activities, and he seemed to enjoy and progress in all of these things. He is looking for an owner who has a fenced yard (or lives in the country), in a home where there is not a ton of new people coming in and out all the time. He needs someone who is aware of his needs, and will make sure that he is not put in a situation where he will fail. He is by no means a danger to the community, but his issues need to be kept in mind. Since he is a working breed, he needs at the very minimum a long walk every day, and if he had the opportunity to participate further in herding and/or scent work, that would be amazing. Milo is up to date on his vaccines, is neutered, and microchipped. He is house trained, crate trained, and walks very well on a leash. Milo gets long VERY well with dogs of any shape and size.
