About Statler

English Setter
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Hi there! So glad you are interested in my life story! It's not a long one, but so far I've had a great time. Six months ago I was born in rescue, so every day of my life has been a good one. Except for the 'Attack of the Angry Ants' day!! I was in the backyard playing when they attacked. The fire ants!! The worst day of my short life. They bit me, and my sweet, tender puppy belly got all red and itchy. It was horrible, horrible, horrible!!! My humans got me to the vet to get some medicine, but it sure wasn't fun. Because of the angry ants, my stay in foster has been longer than usual. My puppy immune system was triggered, and I had some 'flash backs' to an itchy belly. Those were not fun days, but now I'm all ready for my furever home. Enough about those ants! You should know that I am cuddly. Seriously cuddly. After an energetic playtime with my canine foster family, there is nothing I like more (and need) than to cuddle up with you on the couch. I'm mostly house-trained and even know a few commands and a trick or two. I love my toys and playing tug-of-war. I am crate trained, but need two to three hours a day of activity to be happy. If you have another dog, that would be great, but if you don't you'll need to play with me a lot. When you're getting ready to feed me, I may encourage you with my special 'setter-roo' greeting. I live with a cat, but have only been around it in supervised situations. One more important thing, I absolutely need a securely fenced yard so I can be safe. I'll be celebrating my six-month birthday right after Christmas and would like nothing more than to cuddle up in your lap as soon as possible. %BD'%BD%BDStatler is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.
