About Fuzzy

Fuzzy is a 10 year old mini poodle mix in search of a quiet home to retire in. Due to a very strong personality and a bite history, Fuzzy will only be available for adoption to someone who is an experienced dog owner that has dealt with dogs with a dominant nature. He will NOT be allowed into a home with children, grandchildren, or one that babysits children or has children frequently visit. The adopter must have a crate, Martingale collar and 6 foot leash. The adopter will be required to enroll in a 6 week obedience course at Canine Training Unlimited (included in the adoption fee). This training facility is located in Chesapeake, VA. The adopter must also be willing to do continued training beyond the 6 weeks if necessary. This is a good dog but thinks he�%A0should be allowed to be the boss and needs to have rules and boundaries set and enforced. He needs to learn that bad behavior and 'temper tantrums' need to stop. If you are not willing to do everything it takes to work with this dog and help it become a loving family member then this isn't the dog for you. He is doing well with the current foster but acts up when put into another home. He needs to be given time to decompress and get to know a new owner. An application, vet reference, and a home visit are all required to adopt a pet from our rescue. All current pets must be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, and kept on heartworm prevention.
