About Sadie

Adoption Fee: $25
Treeing Walker Coonhound
Age: Adult

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] We are very sad about this but Sadie really needs a new home. She is a very high anxiety dog, and is eager to please humans, and is very hypervigilant in her behavior. Sadie doesn't walk anywhere, she runs. She has been affectionate with everyone for over 3 years we have had her. She requires constant supervision in the house because she eats things that are not food, and that is not safe for her. She also rarely has an incontinent urine episode inside, does better with this on a rigorous schedule but still isn't perfect in that department. She may have more inside accidents if not thoroughly watched. She came to us after being a stray and we have cared for her to the best of our ability. We have known since the first bit that she is not a good fit for us and our family. We looked for a home for her a couple years ago and nobody got in touch about her. We are unable to give her the supervision, the exercise or the constant attention she needs. She really likes other dogs and cats and acts submissive with them. She will sometimes growl if she has a chew toy though that is the only circumstance we have ever seen her growl. She does bay outside if she smells a wild animal and she probably used to be a hunting dog. Sadie is crate trained and is accustomed to sleeping in a crate at night. She also does not mind indoor crating during the day when the weather is bad. We do have a crate to send with her if desired. Also she has a brand new Seresto flea collar and has just had her monthly heartworm pill.
