About Nikko

Nikko needs a hero. He is once again a resident at HSBR because his adoption didn?t work out. Because of the unsuccessful adoption, we have learned more about what Nikko needs to thrive and live a happy life. Is Nikko a great dog? Yes he is! Will he make an awesome companion? Absolutely! He deserves the chance to shine and to be the wonderful dog he is. Nikko needs to be in a home with no children and no other pets. He is best suited to live with one adult because he is extremely loyal to and protective of his person. But with proper training and patience, he could very well adapt to living in a home with more than one adult. Although he functions well at HSBR when multiple staff members and/or volunteers tend to him, it appears he functions best with one person in a home environment. Nikko prefers staying indoors, but when he goes outside, he needs to be in a fenced yard. He enjoys playing fetch, loves toys and is a big fan of car rides!
