About Woodrow

Meet Woodrow! Woodrow is a sweet mostly chocolate Lab boy, 65-75 pounds, approx 5-6 years old. Woodrow has come to us from our local animal control in Marshall County and now with us a few weeks. He is going to make someone a great companion dog! Woodrow gets along great with all dogs. He is doesn't pay attention to horses, chickens and tested fine around a cat. In fact, the cat swatted him and he walked away. He loves to be around his person and would love to just follow you around. A stay-at-home or work-from-home individual would be ideal. Woodrow does great when around other dogs but even when they are playing around him, he prefers to be right by your side. He sits on cue and he is house trained. He would be a fantastic companion dog for a single lady since he does show a little bit of fear towards men, but nothing he cannot overcome with patience. He will be apprehensive at first and may growl at a man but its harmless. There's absolutely no aggression in Woodrow at all he is definitely a lover. He would do best around older kids or teens versus young babies since he is a bigger dog and doesn't give you much personal space, but it's only because he craves to be acknowledged. Poor fellow must have not gotten very much attention in the past so he longs for someone to just love him and in return you will wonder 'who rescued who'. Woodrow unfortunately did test positive for heart worms, but we are treating him at no cost an adoptive family. Woodrow has been recently medically vetted; neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines plus microchipped.
