About Peter

Adoption Fee: $350
Anatolian Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hello out there. I am Peter. I am about 3 yrs. old and about 105 1lbs., and I am a Anatolian/Shepherd (maybe some Golden) mix. I am very smart and a bit on the independent side. I am up to date on all my shots and had my boy surgery. My family just didn't have time for me and as they would have liked so I am back in TVGRR's care till my new family comes along. Hope that will be you! I am both house trained and crate trained, I like going on walks and I know some basic commands. I do not like cats or small dogs. Larger dogs, I will need to meet first and let you know, I am picky about who I play with. Children should be older than 10, only cause I am a big boy. What I do love is being in a yard to explore, run and play fetch, and smell everything. The fence cannot be an invisible one or underground type as that won't stop me from exploring. I don't mind being in a house and hang with you but I do have lots of energy and a bit of herding instincts but that is who I am. Let's play and go on adventures together cause I think active/outdoorsy people would be wonderful. UPDATE: I was just assessed by a Certified Professional Dog Trainer Behavior Consultant and she said that I could be a great candidate for service dog training. Because of my size...I would be good for support. Adoption Fee $350 Information is updated as we learn about the Golden rescue(s). If you are interested in a specific Golden rescue, visit TVGRR.com and fill out an online application. You will be assigned an application coordinator who will work with you in finding the right Golden for your family. On the website, under the adoption menu choice, you will find answers to many of your questions regarding our adoption policies. Read the entire application and adoption process/policies before submitting an application or inquiring about a specific golden. The adoption process will include a vet check and a home visit. We do not hold Golden rescues for any adopter. We do allow adoptions to surrounding states; although you must be willing to come to where the golden is being fostered to pick him/her up. Visit www.TVGRR.com for more information.
