About Benny

Hi, I am Benny! I am a two- to three-year old bully breed mix boy in search of my forever home. I came into rescue from a rural county shelter when my time was out, and my foster family tells me that I was quite the find! I am an extremely easy dog to have around, they say. I am very well crate-trained, house-trained, walk very well on leash, and love to go for rides in the car. I get along well with other dogs, too, and have several in my foster home that I play with regularly. I am a little too excited about the cats to be around them, though. I am looking for a forever home where I will be a part of the family in every way. I love to be with my people more than anything. I am pretty laid back and love to just hang out with my people. I am not the type of dog who is going to want to go for day-hikes or runs - I am just too big-boned for such activities. Instead I will go for gentle walks with you, lay by your side (hopefully on the couch!) and generally charm you and everyone I meet with my smile and friendly nature. Since I am a big boy - around 70 pounds, it would be too easy for me to accidentally knock over toddlers, so please consider me for a family with older kids that are stable on their feet! I am very food motivated, so you can use that to your advantage in training me! I would love to have the interaction with you of doing any kind of training you wish, just for the bonding time. I am hoping you will take me out on errands with you, as I love to ride in the car!
