About Bear

Meet Bear, estimated to be about a year old and is a Bluetick & Black and Tan Coonhound mix looking for his forever home. This sweet, energetic, guy loves to run and play with the other dogs. He's about 45 pounds and is house trained. He does bond very fast and therefore does tend to have some anxiety whenever you need to leave somewhere. We're working with him on crate training and teaching him that he doesn't need to work himself up, causing him to have accidents. He was very badly abused but has come a long way, and has been doing great with meeting new people. He is a very docile and gentle dog. Bear is GREAT with kids! He does have the hound bark/howl and isn't afraid to show you just how loud he can be! Therefore, if you're looking for a quiet dog, Bear would not be the dog for you. He needs a family with the time and patience to continue to work with him on socializing and such. Bear is now neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and microchipped. We're not sure if he's been around cats, but that can be tested. Overall, Bear is a very happy and healthy young dog. We know he'll make someone an amazing companion!
