About Nala

Nala is the sweetest of kittens, but she stresses in the shelter. A kind person has sponsored part of Nala's adoption fee in the hopes that a loving home can be found for her. Nala is seven months old and so tiny, weighing only four pounds. She's a gorgeous tiger kitten with a heart of gold. Nala wants to be brave, but the rough-housing of bigger kittens overwhelms her. As we seek a forever home for tiny Nala, we've moved her to the adult cat room where Nala feels safer and protected. Nala had the opportunity to be in a foster home for a few days and she showed what a joyful little thing she is. When she feels safe, she becomes playful and very snuggly. She loves being around people. She even does well with other cats, especially when they aren't pushing her around. Nala has the softest of fur and beautiful markings. If you can offer a safe indoor home to our cat/kitten, submit an application online or at the shelter after a get acquainted visit. If you don't receive this email within 24 hours, please check to make sure all application fields were completed or please call our shelter at 706-865-4135. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
