Dexter is a Senior brindle dachshund mix that was found wandering the street with no tags and we were unable to find his original family. He was placed with a new family but his primary caregiver fell and shattered her knee and is unable to care for him any longer. He does well with all animals, adults, and older children. He has deep cataracts and is mostly blind so small children that don't know to approach him slowly would startle him. He has an enlarged heart and is unable to be neutered. He would do best in a retired household or where someone is home most of the day. He takes walks roughly every three hours and will whine if he needs to go out. He is crated at night and comes with his crate. He is very loving and loves to snuggle and bounces like a puppy every time he goes outside.
