About Garfield

Special Needs. 8 years old. Garfield was surrendered by his owner with his housemate because his owner was moving and could not bring pets along. Sadly, they were not well cared for. They never had any vet care at all except for being altered. When Garfield first came here he was not a happy camper. It took some time for him to come around and get used to his new surroundings. His personality has definitely blossomed over time and he enjoys the company of our volunteers. Upon examination, we found Garfield is hyperthyroid and will need to be on meds for the rest of his life. His kidney values are also high. At this point we are looking for an experienced cat owner who will give Garfield a comfortable life and care for him they way he should have been for the past 8 years.
