About Micah

Our sweet and beautiful Micah couldn't be more loving no matter how hard he tried. Micah is a 6 month old, 30 lb Labrador Retriever/Terrier mix (expected to be approximately 40 lbs when full-grown) that is just waiting to be the love of someone's life. We expect Mich to be approximately Both Labrador Retrievers and Staffordshire Terriers continue to grow in popularity over the past few years. It makes perfect sense in that they're known for their great temperaments, incredible intelligence and loyalty.. and love for their families. Farfel's rescues almost every Lab mix (that has excellent results from their temperament testing) that is in need of our help with confidence they will have great energy and be excellent family members. Micah has all these wonderful traits and was described by his New Mexico foster mom as PERFECTLY WONDERFUL! Micah has had a challenging period of time in a high kill shelter scheduled for euthanasia, but is now safe and sound�'�|never to be cold or hungry again. But with it all�'�|Micah doesn't hold a grudge and desires only to be a loyal best friend. Since Micah is so young, he's a blank slate�'�|open to all possibilities if treated kindly and with respect. Positive reinforcement group training classes will truly serve both Micah and his family (as it does every dog and their people). Together they will learn the skills to have Micah be a companion that has excellent behavior out in the world. It also creates strong bonds of love and respect between pup and family. It is for the reasons above that we've not open to adopting Micah out to a family that chooses not to participate in force free training class. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement trainers in your area. Micah tends to be a loving and sensitive puppy who loves life and responds so well to nurturing and time spent together (hugs and kisses are absolutely awesome)... and of course some great treats are always a wonderful option. Micah gets very attached to those he loves and before you know it, is on his way to his favorite people for belly rubs and and a hug. Micah loves to come along ..be it to a park for a fun game of ball, a long hike on a Colorado trail, a vacation or just socializing�'�|Micah would love to be there as Companion #1. He has the sweetest personality ever and is low-maintenance and flexible enough to fit in just about anywhere. . We envision Micah in a home that will provide him with exercise and mental stimulation. Micah wouldn't be happy spending full-time work hours alone�'�|he is far too social to be happy with that. An active retiree who is seeking a full-time best friend or a person who works either part-time or from home would would be an excellent choice for this very loving and social guy. A family with dog-crazy kids (Micah LOVES kids of all ages!) would also be a great choice for Micah. He would be over the moon with the companionship and consistency of those relationships. Being just a pup, he'd also learn that he's loved and will be cared for with respect for the remainder of his life. This is a lesson that results in high self esteem and a happy and confident adult dog.
