About Eleven

Pointer / Foxhound
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hi, I am Eleven. I am a 6-month, female, Hound mix and weigh about 20 lbs. My brothers and I came up from TN. I am excitable, when I first see you and when provoked to play, but mostly I am rather chill laying in the sun or at your feet. I learned all about stairs but prefer for you to go first and I stay off furniture unless invited. I like walks but am content to play in the yard too. I don't understand toys yet but my foster family keeps trying, mostly I just love attention. My brother and I currently reside with a very busy human family and I enjoy the activity and don't mind the transitions to/from house/yard/crate/car. I have at times had to spend 4+ hours in my crate during the day but I keep it clean. I am content in my crate overnight too, in fact, my foster mom usually has to wake me up to go outside. I am working on my commands: working on becoming a reformed jumper. Sit has come easily so optimistic the rest will follow soon enough, I am still young. I love new people: old and young, and have done very well with other children, other dogs and cats. I like to be boss but will play nicely while I explain that to you. I might not be completely housebroken but I do understand I should do my business outside just working on telling you when it is time. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
