About Sally

Adoption Fee: $30
Lab / Golden Retriever
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Sally If you're looking for an amazingly incredible dog, come meet our Sally. Sally was surrendered to our shelter on August 5, 2019. We're not sure of her history, but with what we've seen, she is stunning inside and out. Sally was adopted out quickly, but recently returned, much to the great sadness of her recent adopters and us. It seems that Sally was terrified of their cats. Sally will need to go to a home without cats. Her adopters said that she did well with their other dog and with everyone she met. She was a perfect girl. Returning her was not an easy decision. Sally is thought to be a four year old yellow lab/retriever mix. She weighs about 72 pounds. She has the physique of an athlete - muscular, yet slender. Sally radiates a unique kindness and a calmness that you have to see to believe. She is a self-aware and self-possessed young dog. She's not hyper or jumpy, rather she sits with eager eyes as if waiting for you to tell her what to do. She is incredibly smart. She knows basic commands and is eager to learn more. We think she might make or has been a service or therapy dog. We think she's house-trained as well. She will do anything to not soil her kennel. Sally walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. We think she'd make for a terrific hiking or running companion. Sally also just loves to snuggle with her people. We've noticed that Sally is a fence climber and for any adopter it will be important to make sure that Sally stays contained and safe. With her intelligence, it will also be important to engage Sally's mind with activities and games. We're not yet sure how Sally does with other dogs and will test for any potential adopters. Sally is spayed, fully vetted and microchipped. If you're looking for a gorgeous girl to welcome to your family, come meet our Sally. We absolutely love her and think you will too. Call 706-865-4135 for information on additional health services provided as part of the adoption fee.
