About Loki

Loki is an amazing, playful and super talented dog. CHECK OUT his video! He loves to work and train but needs an experienced trainer to give him strict rules and structure. At only a little over a year old, this boy was hours away from being euthanized after 2 previous adopters did not know how to handle his high Malinois energy and drive. He must go to an owner who has experience with high drive breeds (previous Malinois or husky experience preferred). Homes without young children or smaller pets only. He loves other dogs but the intensity of his play can be too much for some. He prefers female dogs, but would likely be fine with a more submissive male dog as well. Loki has had some insecurity that caused him to act aggressively/protectively when approached by strangers. Although he needs time to warm up to people, once you earn his trust he becomes extremely attached to his person, becoming affectionate, loyal and eager to please. This dog loves to WORK. He will do best in a home with a dog handler who wants a working dog (would be perfect for protection, search and rescue, or detection work) or for intense dog sports /competition like agility Schutzhund or obedience. The possibilities are limitless with this boy - athletic, agile, focused, and extremely smart, with very high toy and food drive - he's just waiting for that perfect person who wants to help him realize his potential! *Note* Adoption fee is meant to make sure he goes to someone responsible and committed, but could be negotiable for the perfect home.
