About Ellie

Hello, I work at an animal clinic in Tuscumbia, Alabama. I am currently fostering a female 4 yr old spayed heeler mix. She is SUPER sweet. She is great with kids, babies and other dogs. I took her in because I didn't want her going to the shelter and after a family gave her up in a divorce and she was not being properly cared for. I have not had luck finding her forever home. I have 3 big dogs of my own who are not happy about the arrangement 1 is a tempered senior and a young 70lb pit who is too much energy for her the foster baby. I am having to keep them separate and it's hard in my small home. We have been going on walks everyday one at a time so I know she gets along with my big dogs as well as the previous owners had 2 small dogs before and she did great. She is definitely the herding type lol But I can't afford to keep her. She has skin allergies so needs an allergy shot every other month. I have raised a little bit of money for dog food, vaccines and meds. Anyone know of any rescues or adopters interested???? I don't mind traveling if I can find a rescue that I know will take good care of her and find her the right home for a heeler. Thanks so much! Any suggestions would help. She is so so sweet, shy and caring to everyone.
