About B.A.

This is B.A., a red male Australian Cattledog who was born in October 2011. B.A. was a very best friend for someone and stayed by her side until she passed away. Now he is looking for another very best friend. BA knows his basics: sit/stay, down/stay, has a good recall, walks great on leash through town. He is crate trained and house trained. He does have a tendency to want to mark in a new place, so at first he should be watched. After a quick NO, he immediately stops and won't do it again. B.A. seems to be good with everyone he meets. He generally ignores people who are not his person. He is a dedicated boy who really cares just about the person he loves. We won't place him in a home with small kids just because he would prefer an adult to adore, but he is fine with occasional grandkid visits. B.A. is good with most dogs. He does well with very social animals and other dogs who have good manners. Sometimes he is bossy with other bossy males, so that has to be supervised. Just like most Cattledogs, he would not be great at a dog park. He will enjoy having play friends, though. He can co-exist with cats if supervised but we would not trust him alone with a cat. B.A. is great on leash and in the car. He jumps right in when asked. He will appreciate going out and about with someone, then relaxing in the house. He loves walks and hikes, too. B.A. will form a very close bond with some lucky person. Once he bonds, he shows his smile. He gets excited to go for a walk and then relax with his person. He is an easy going and very special boy. B.A. is located in Half Moon Bay, near San Francisco. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
