About Maximus

Max prefers adults handling him if he needs picked up, but older children who know how to pay attention to his growl or signs when he wants to be left alone is the ideal family for him. He can be bossy to other animals, but has lived and gotten along with other dogs, kittens, and rabbits. He just prefers for them to leave him be. He loves to cuddle if you show him affection, but also doesnt mind just sleeping on his bed when you're busy. He is kennel trained, potty trained, and knows 'sit' and 'go to bed'. He loves his doggie puzzle and does great on walks, but occasionally will bark at new people here and there. When meeting a new person at his house he does best if held by his adult owner until he has a chance to smell the new person. He will come with all of his favorite things and belongings, including his crate. Overall, Max is like a grumpy old man who enjoys sleeping and being left alone unless shown attention, at which point he will soak up the love and attention you show him.
