Mango has an OCD problem w shredding her feathers not plucking and such needs to be in a quiet household w low activity, NO running screaming children or loud barking dogs, shes fine w dogs as long as they are quiet! Shes looking for her forever lifetime home with a non-smoking household. She's a quiet bird and can be comical at times as a Goffin often is, loves to cuddle, loves her scritches and needs that one on one but as always with any cockatoo make sure you do not over do it or you will have a spoiled rotten 2 year old for a lifetime! She is an adult bird and remember that cockatoos live well to be in their 60-80s with proper care and nutrition! NO CAGES ARE INCLUDED! All birds are used to living outside in SWFL tropical weather all their lives so please take that into consideration when looking to adopt. Cold weather states would be an big shock to their system and extreme caution would have to be taken. All birds will remain here at my Rescue in SWFL until I can find the right lifetime home for them. Due to the circumstances here at my home and Sanctuary after Hurricane Irma I am having to find homes for all birds. If you are out of the area or state and are willing to pu or pay for all shipping costs and vet exams for flight, I will consider an Adoption to the right home. My home and property will be under construction for at least 8 mos to a year due to extent of total damage. All birds have been surgically sexed and I do have blood on each bird that can be sent in for disease testing if you choose to do that thru Avian Biotech. Animals choose their owners NOT the other way around. Please do NOT choose to bring an Animal into your home based on looks or color! They each have individual personalities, quirks, likes and dislikes just like humans do!! PLEASE make sure to include PROPER contact info. Explain what your experience is WHY you would make a good lifetime home and why you are interested in adopting a parrot. ***If you have other Cockatoos please aware they are known to turn on each other and can kill each other within seconds even if they have known each other for years. It doesnt matter if the same or opposite sex. It takes a split second for you to not be around and 2 birds will be fighting to the end.
