About Carter

Carter is a 1-year-old chocolate cocker boy who came to us after his owner noted he was 'not kid friendly ' and abandoned him at a high kill shelter. Given this we are stipulating NO KIDS to any prospective home/applicant. Since we have had him Carter has been nothing short of a little angel- he is loving, obedient, gets along great with other dogs and is housetrained. He does however like to chase lizards and we do not know how he is with cats. Unfortunately, his previous owner was not attentive to his medical needs and Carter has tested heartworm positive- the good news is that he is now being treated for that under FCCR and is expected to make a full recovery.
