About Scout

Scout showed up at our house in April. He is an abandoned hunting dog, who was underweight and covered In ticks. With some TLC he is now a very healthy, active and handsome dog. Our family has fallen in love with him, he is great with our other dog and kids. It will be extremely difficult to say goodbye. Unfortunately, with school and work schedules we will not be home for 9+ hours a day and we would like to find him his forever home. Scout is true to breed - loves to follow a scent, and a 'Houdini'. He either needs a securely fenced yard or to stay on a leash. He enjoys long walks, (could also be a good running companion)...and then is typically a couch potato the rest of the day. Doesn't bark at strangers or other dogs we pass. Occasionally 'bays' if he sees a fox!
