Daisy is a very pretty, 4 year- old, liver and white Fieldie. Daisy wants to be your only dog so we are looking for adopters who don't have a dog. She has learned the basic manners of 'sit', 'shake' and 'wait'. She loves her ball or toy. She is getting much better at the 'stay' command, unless her favorite person intends to leave without her! Although initially anxious on a car ride, she quickly settles down and prefers to place her head on the arm rest between the front seats. Springer Spaniel Rescue, Inc. couldn't let that happen to a sweet dog, whose only fault was the expense of her care. So we got her. We know that Daisy is a high energy dog. Her most favorite activity in the whole wide world is to play fetch. Her second most favorite is to dig in her own spot in the yard, burying and retrieving her ball. Daisy does have some separation anxiety, which is only to be expected after being shuffled around during her short life. She would be best with an owner who is home most of the time and will continue to improve her manners and leash training. As a high energy dog, we don't think that she should be in a family with toddlers or small children. She is house trained and will run to the door and issue an urgent request when she needs out. Daisy currently sleeps on the family bed and will remain there overnight. Even at her most anxious she is not destructive. A doggie door would be great for her. Given time to settle in, and with continued positive reinforcement, she will make a great addition to the right family.
