Looking for a therapy cat? Sammy is the BEST choice! Sammy is a very special boy to us. He is about 9-10 years old, very handsome, shorthaired, SOFT, healthy looking, orange tabby with white. He is one of the sweetest cats you will ever meet. He effortlessly gets along with other cats and while not around dogs in the foster home, he is so chill we think he will do very well with dogs. Sammy is a sweetheart and will do anything to just get attention all the time. He is a cuddler, well-behaved, loves to scratch on scratching posts and pads, and also loves to lounge in a zip up playpen outdoors to smell the fresh air. He is ear tipped and went to the shelter as a sick stray. We rescued him from the shelter on the day he was to be put to sleep. We worked hard to get him healthy. He will need a close eye on him and immediate vet care should he have some bad days. **PLEASE NOTE Sammy is FeLV (leukemia virus) positive. He must be a single cat in the home or with other FeLV positive cats. He is healthy otherwise and really needs a home. He still could live a long life. He has been to a specialist and has had immuno-therapy and is on a health plan that will hopefully keep him feeling well for a long time. All cats are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on Revolution flea/heartworm prevention. We have a strict no declawing policy, indoor homes only unless otherwise noted, and we have an application process. Completing an application does not guarantee adoption. Home checks required.
