She is around 7 months & she was an owner surrender. Due to her previous neighbors' dog chasing livestock, her previous owners felt that since Dixie spent so much time with her neighbors' dog that it would rub off on Dixie. She can be shy at first, but she hasn't been socialized with too many new people in her life. She warms up very quickly & soon after she meets you she'll want to be your new best friend! Dixie is in a very temporary foster home, so she needs a more permanent foster or even a foster to adopt home. She hasn't jumped on her temporary fosters at all since she's been with them, despite her young age she's calm & quiet. Dixie gets along with other dogs, but it might take her a minute or two to warm up to new dogs that are jumpy and/or in her face. (She is fine once she warms up.) As long as she's being pet & given attention, Dixie doesn't mind who pets her! She just wants allllll the lovings, from anyone- including kids! Does Dixie sound like the right fit for you family?
